Croatia’s number one tennis player Marin Cilic could not defend his Queens Club title in London on Sunday, after he went down to Scot Andy Murray 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 in the final.
Cilic looked on course to make it two Queens Club titles in as many years after he raced out to a one set to love lead, Murray’s experience shone through in the end as he turned the match around to win in just over two and a half hours.
Meanwhile up north in Birmingham at the Aegon Classic 16-year-old Donna Vekic, playing in her second final of her career, lost to Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova 6:7, 4:6.
