Croatian wines win 3 platinum and 8 golds at Decanter World Wine Awards

ZAGREB, 7 July 2021 – Croatian wines have won three three platinum and eight gold medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021. 

As well as platinum and gold awards, more than 200 Croatian wines received medals and recommendations at this year’s Decanter World Wine Awards, which are the largest and most influential annual wine evaluation in the world.

When it comes to the prestigious platinum awards, two of the three went to white wines from Lumbarda on the Dalmatian island of Korčula – 2018 Defora Grk from the Bire winery and 2019 Pošip from Zure. San Salvatore Muškat 2015 from Benvenuti in Istria was the third Croatian platinum recipient.

Zure Pošip 2019 –  97 points

Gold medals 

Degarra Garageist Bili 2016 – 96 points
Bora Pošip 2019 –  95 points
Testament Tribidrag 2018 –  95 points
Fakin Malvazija Istarska 2020 –  95 points
Cattunar Collina Malvazija Istarska 2017 –  95 points
Crvik Vilin Ples Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot-Plavac 2017 –  95 points
Vinolog Éclat Plavac Mali 2013 –  95 points
Vina Laguna Castello 2017 –  Festigia
