ZAGREB, Feb 11 (Hina) – Six Croatian wineries are exhibiting their products at the international wine show Wine Paris, which is taking place in the French capital from 10 to 12 February, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) said in a statement on Tuesday.

Croatia is represented by Krauthaker, Osilovac, Jako Vino, Bolfan Vinski Vrh, Dingac – Skaramuca and Buzdovan. Their attendance has been organised by the HGK.

“There is a growing demand for Croatian wines on the global wine scene, but more government investment is needed in branding this sector,” said Josip Pavic of the Feravino company.

Feravino exports about 20 percent of its production to about 20 countries worldwide, and Pavic said that last year their most successful markets were Belgium, Switzerland and Finland.

Wine Paris brings together over 2,000 winemakers and wine merchants from France and abroad and is expected to attract 30,000 visitors, 35 percent of whom are from abroad, the statement said.
