Croatian Teen Causes Huge Upset at US Open

CroatiaRising teenage Croatian tennis star Borna Ćorić has caused a huge upset at his first ever Grand Slam…

The 17-year-old has knocked out 29th seed Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic in his first appearance in a Grand Slam main draw at the US Open on Tuesday. Ćorić, who is a former US Open Junior champion, was too good for the more experienced Rosol, who is ranked 163 places above the Croatian teen, thrashing him in straight sets 6:4, 6:1, 6:2. Well done, Borna. Ivo Karlović and Mirjana Lučić-Baroni also had first round wins, whilst Marin Čilić plays later tonight.
