Croatian team named for 2019 World Handball Championship

8 January 2019 – The 2019 IHF World Men’s Handball Championship will be held in Denmark and Germany from 10 to 27 January 2019.

On Tuesday, Croatian handball coach Lino Červar named his final squad for the tournament. 

Croatia are in Group B with Iceland, Japan, Macedonia, Bahrain and Spain. They will play their matches in Munich.

Marin Šego, Ivan Stevanović, Manuel Štrlek, David Mandić, Zlatko Horvat, Ivan Vida, Željko Musa, Marin Šipić, Krešimir Kozina, Damir Bičanić, Ivan Slišković, Halil Jaganjac, Alen Blažević, Domagoj Duvnjak, Luka Cindrić, Igor Karačić, Luka Stepančić, Jakov Vranković

Schedule of Croatia’s group matches (CET times):

11 January at 18:00: Iceland – Croatia

13 January at 16:30: Croatia – Japan

14 January at 18:00: Croatia – Macedonia

16 January at 18:00: Croatia – Bahrain

17 January at 20:30: Spain – Croatia

Croatia last won gold at the World Championships 16 years ago in 2003 in Portugal. The last medal came in 2013 in Spain when they won bronze.
