The boutique turning Croatian stone into something you can wear

PRIMOŠTEN, Croatia – In the intimate courtyard of the Art Shop Unique boutique in the historic centre of Primošten, the brand celebrated its 18th anniversary. Over nearly two decades, Art Shop Unique has become recognised for its handcrafted jewellery inspired by Brač stone and Croatia’s rich cultural heritage.

Behind the brand is jewellery designer Ivana Mrduljaš, who has been creating original collections since 2008 by combining Brač limestone with stainless steel, sterling silver, and a variety of natural materials.

Brač limestone, one of Croatia’s most iconic natural materials, has become the signature element of her work and a recurring feature throughout many of the brand’s collections.

The philosophy behind Art Shop Unique is rooted in the idea that a piece of Croatian heritage can be transformed into contemporary, wearable, and timeless jewellery.

Every piece is handcrafted with a strong emphasis on authenticity, quality craftsmanship, and the story it carries. From a small workshop in Primošten, the jewellery now reaches customers around the world through the brand’s online store and international marketplaces, while remaining true to its handmade character and authentic design.

To mark this milestone, the brand hosted a small and intimate gathering of friends, collaborators, long-time customers, and everyone who has supported the growth of Art Shop Unique over the years.

Special attention was given to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The creatively decorated and softly illuminated courtyard of the boutique became a space for conversation, celebration, and reflection on nearly two decades of creativity.

Guests enjoyed wines from local Primošten winemakers, further highlighting the brand’s strong connection to the local community and the authentic spirit of Dalmatia.

One of the evening’s highlights was a creative ‘bracelet station’ where guests designed their own bracelets using a selection of natural stone beads and stainless steel elements. Each bracelet was then handcrafted by Ivana and her team, allowing every guest to take home a personalised keepsake.

The celebration extended beyond those attending the event. Throughout the day, customers could enjoy a special anniversary discount both in the Primošten boutique and through the online shop, while also being invited to share their own memories of Art Shop Unique jewellery on social media.

Although the occasion marked an important milestone, the celebration was intentionally kept intimate rather than becoming a large public event. It served as a heartfelt thank-you to the people who have been part of the Art Shop Unique story over the past 18 years, family, friends, business partners, and loyal customers.

Celebrating 18 years also marks a new chapter for the brand, which remains committed to its distinctive philosophy of creating jewellery that combines minimalist design, traditional materials, and Croatian heritage into pieces that are both wearable and meaningful.
