Croatian Star Wins FIBA European Young Player of the Year

Šarić (19), who plays for Zagreb’s Cibona club and has been earmarked to play in the NBA, won gold with Croatia at the 2012 FIBA European U18 Championships where he was the tournaments highest scorer and was voted unanimously as the tournament’s MVP. Fenerbahce’s Turkish star Kenan Sipahi was named second best young player, while  Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece) of the Milwaukee Bucks was in third place.
