Croatian Shooter Wins World Cup in Cyprus

Giovanni Cernogoraz with his winning gold medal and globe

Croatian shooter Giovanni Cernogoraz has won the ISSF World Cup Final Shotgun in Cyprus this week…

The 2012 Olympic gold medlist beat Giovanni Pallielo (silver) from Italy and Russian Alex Alipov (bronze) to win the ISSF globe in the shooting trap. It was a fitting end to what has been a good season for the Croat.

Cernogoraz will be hoping to take his good for into the Rio 2016 Olympics, which he qualified for by winning silver in a competition earlier in Azerbaijan. (photos/issf)
