Croatian Sensation Wins Famous Orange Bowl

Just one week after claiming the Eddie Herr tournament in the USA and getting glowing praise from Croatian tennis legend Goran Ivanisevic, Croatia’s rising teenager tennis star Ana Konjuh (14) has won the prestigious and well-known Orange Bowl tournament in Florida.
The young Croat beat the world’s 3rd ranked junior, Katerina Siniakova from the Czech Republic in the final 6:3, 6:2.
Konjuh, who turns 15 just two days after Christmas, beat the world’s number 1 ranked player, 16-year-old American Taylor Townsend in the semi-final. Ivanisevic told press last week that Konjuh will be a top 10 star in the future.
