Croatian sailor Tonci Stipanovic wins bronze at World Laser Championships

ZAGREB, Feb 17 (Hina) – Croatian sailor Tonci Stipanovic has won a bronze medal at the World Laser Championships in Melbourne, which ended on Sunday after five days of competition.

The gold medal went to Philipp Buhl of Germany and the silver to Matt Wearn of Australia.

Stipanovic, a native of Split, won Croatia’s first ever sailing Olympic medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016 when he won silver.

The Croatian is also a 4-time European champion, winning gold in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014. He also a recipient of the Order of Danica Hrvatska with face of Franjo Bučar – 2016
