Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb to Host 14th World Theatre Festival

The Croatian capital Zagreb will play host next month to the 14th World Theatre Festival…

The 14th World Theatre Festival will be held at Zagreb’s Croatian National Theatre (HNK) from 9-21 September 2016. ‘The Marriage of Maria Brown’, performed by Berlin’s Schaubuehne am Lehniner Platz under the direction of Thomas Ostermeier, will open the festival.

Other noteable performances during the festival include ‘Tristesses’ by Belgian theatrical company Das Fraulein (Kompanie), which will take place on 23 and 24 September, as well as the ‘Still Too Sad to Tell You’ video installations created by Belgian artist Anne-Cécile Vandalem.

‘Time’s Journey Through a Room’ by renowned Japanese director Toshiki Okada will be performed by the theatrical company chelfitsch on the 20 September also at HNK.
