The first Croatian stamp in honour of sporting success since 2011 was unveiled in Zagreb on Friday.

50,000 pair of 6 kuna stamps titled “Croatia’s Success at the FIFA World Cup in Russia 2018” has been issued by Croatian Post in honour of the Croatian team’s silver medal performance.

The stamps were designed by Alenka Lalić, with the photo of the team after the World Cup final loss to France wearing their silver medals taken by official Croatian Football Federation photographer Drago Sopta.

Ivan Čulo, CEO of Croatian Post, said that the stamps are the first to honour Croatian sporting achievements since a stamp featuring skier Ivica Kostelić was issued  7 years ago.
