A new destination has opened in central Zagreb for collectors, gift seekers and anyone interested in items with lasting value.

Hrvatska kovnica novca (Croatian Mint) has opened its first retail store at Jurišićeva 17 in the heart of Zagreb, marking the first time its products can be purchased directly in person.

Until now, the state mint’s numismatic releases, medals and other products were available exclusively through its online shop.

The new store allows visitors to browse and buy items on-site, with the added benefit of expert advice and the opportunity to closely examine each piece before purchasing.

For collectors and enthusiasts, seeing the coins and medals in person can make a significant difference.

Details such as relief, finishing and intricate design elements are often best appreciated under light and in hand, factors that frequently influence the final decision when choosing a piece.

The shop offers a range of numismatic items, including gold and silver coins and commemorative medals inspired by Croatian heritage and identity.

Customers can compare editions, explore the designs in detail and take their purchase home immediately, without waiting for delivery.

The new retail location also provides a convenient option for those looking for a distinctive gift with a story, as well as buyers who prefer to inspect items before making a purchase.

Hrvatska kovnica novca is Croatia’s official mint and is fully owned by Hrvatska narodna banka (the Croatian National Bank).

With the opening of the Zagreb store, the mint aims to make its numismatic and investment products more accessible to the public while complementing its existing online sales platform.

The store is open Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 15:30.
