Learning Croatian this summer

Summer is coming
If you live in Croatia, the last few weeks, with their foggy mornings and cold evening breezes, may have felt more like late autumn than spring. But believe it or not, summer is just around the corner.
People usually look forward to their summer break: escaping to a sandy beach, swimming in the beautiful Adriatic Sea, taking a trip around Europe, or visiting relatives in Croatia.
However, the initial excitement about our summer vacation can quickly fade if we suddenly find ourselves in the middle of a hot summer day with plenty of free time and realize that we made no summer plans at all.
For parents, this time of year can be especially challenging because children are left without their daily school obligations, which can easily mean being glued to their phones on the living room sofa all day long.
Well, not all day, let’s be fair, they do get up for a quick visit to the fridge at some point during the day. A frustrating scene for any parent.
What are your plans for this summer? And have you come up with an anti-fridge-sofa-cell-phone plan for your teenager?
If you still don’t have any plans, and it seems like everybody around you has already planned the perfect summer vacation, don’t worry. How about spending your summer learning a new language?
CRO to go, a well-known educational centre specializing in Croatian language learning, is once again organizing its special summer intensive courses:
• CROsummer – Intensive online summer courses for adults
• CROkids Summer – Intensive online Croatian courses for children
Held in June, July, and August, the CROsummer course runs over 12 intensive days. Whether you’re just beginning your Croatian language journey, want to boost your skills, or simply improve your conversational fluency, CROsummer is a great way to do it.
