Croatian Innovators Scoop Gold at Innova in Brussels

Eight Croatian inventors who have exhibited at the prestigious Innovation Exhibition – Innova 2013 – held in Brussels over the weekend have all won medals…

Out of 600 inventors from 27 countries, the Croatians took home four gold medals, three silver, one bronze and three special awards. In addition to these awards, special awards were also granted for contribution to the development of innovation and innovation culture in the country, with Croatia receiving one of the 16 awards.

Croatia’s gold medal winners were Đuro Horvat from the company Tehnix with his bioreactor system for the treatment of waste water, Zvonimir Viduka from Altpro for his unified system for processing of aromatic plants, Zagreb’s Čista zona for their ecosystem protection of bees, and  Vlado Moulis for his unique hazelnut farming system. Croatia’s expedition in Belgium was organised by the Croatian Association of Innovators, Technical Culture Organisation and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.
