Croatian ‘Gun of the Year’ Pulled off the Market in America

CroatiaAmerican arms manufacturer Springfield Armory have urged customers of the Springfield XD-S pistol in 9mm calibers, and .45 ACP pistol with a single row of ammunition containers, to turn in their weapons because of safety defects in the structure.

The weapon, which is sold on the U.S. market under the brand Springfield, is in fact a pistol manufactured by Croatian company HS Produkt in Karlovac, writes daily Jutarnji list. The XD-S .45 ACP is one of HS Produckt’s latest products, and last year it was named a pistol of the year in the United States. On Springfield’s official website the company invites all owners of these guns to carefully empty them return them for free back to the factory, where they will incorporate the revised parts of security structure within 10-12 weeks.
