Croatian Girls Crowned Bowling World Champions

Hr_2The Croatian women’s team have won gold at the 6th Classic-bowling Team World Championships held in the German town of Speichersdorf this weekend…

The Croatian team, coached by Željko Orehovec and consisting of Ana Bacan, Milana Pavlic, Ines Hasić, Ana Jambrović, Nataša Ravnić-Gašparini and Ines Maričić, were too good for hosts Germany in the final, winning convincingly 7:1 (3624:3492). Earlier in the day the Croatians beat the Czech Republic 6:2, before turning in an even more dominant performance in the final.

Maja Zver, Katarina Zajec, Ljiljana Peroš and Snježana Kramer, who did not play in the final, also received medals as part of the Croatian team.
