Croatian Footballer Opens Tapas Bar in Spain

Croatia and Seville midfielder Ivan Rakitic is starting to look at life after football, with a venture into the business world. Rakitic has opened up a tapas bar in the Spanish city of Seville with his 22-year-old girlfriend Raquel Mauri Olmo.

“These days I have been really busy with training, games and renovating the space. The opening will be in 2-3 weeks,” Rakitic told newspaper 24sata. His girlfriend Raquel will run the show.

“She will run the cafe, I have no doubt she will do a great job. The cafe will be called Dinain. The name has no real special meaning,” Ivan says, adding that Dinain will be a tapas bar, where you can eat and drink.

The tapas bar is located five minutes from the centre of town, and ten minutes from Seville’s stadium. Rakitic’s girlfriend says they have rented the space for one-year and will see how it goes.
