The Croatian Football Federation has issued a statement in reaction to leaks which emerged online of the alleged new kit Croatia will wear at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Portals Todo Sobre Camisetas and Footy Headlines, both who are noted for having reliable insider information when it comes to new kits, posted new home and away kits for England, France, Chile, Brazil, USA, Portugal, and Croatia recently online.

The Croatian Football Federation, however, deny that those are the new designs, which showed for the first time Croatia with an alternate black-blue kit.

“The Croatian Football Association informs fans and the media that the illustrations of the Croatian World Cup kit that appeared in certain media are inaccurate,” they said, before adding.

“The Croatian national football team will participate in Russia next year in a new kit, but illustrations that have been released in certain media in recent days are not the kits that the Vatreni will wear.”

The Croatian Football Federation says that the new World Cup kits will be exclusively revealed at the official presentation, which will be held in the spring of next year with partners Nike.

“HNS is looking forward to introducing the new kit, which, with the great long-standing cooperation with Nike, has been one of the most recognizable and most beautiful soccer jerseys in the world for years,” the Croatian Football Federation concluded.
