ZAGREB, 2 April 2020 – The Croatian Football Federation will donate a total of HRK 1 million to hospitals in five Croatian cities to combat the current coronavirus epidemic, the federation said on Thursday.

HRK 200,000 each will be paid to the Dr Fran Mihaljević Clinic for Infectious Diseases in Zagreb, the Clinical Hospital Centres in Split, Osijek, and Rijeka and the General Hospital Pula for the fight against the epidemic of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

“Although football is also extremely economically affected by this epidemic, we believe that this is a time for solidarity and social responsibility, which is why we have made this donation. We believe that by making this donation to hospitals we will directly help our great healthcare professionals and all patients, We look forward to the moment when football will re-entertain people, and until then, let’s show responsibility, stay home and obey all measures prescribed by the competent institutions,” said HNS President Davor Suker.
