Following a thrilling season in the SuperSport HNL, a special awards ceremony was held in Zagreb last night to honour the league’s top performers.
The event, hosted at Mozaik Event Centre, brought together the best of Croatian football to celebrate an unforgettable campaign that concluded with Rijeka lifting the title after a dramatic final round.
President Kustić Congratulates Champions
Croatian Football Federation (HNS) president Marijan Kustić, who famously delivered the league trophy to Rujevica by helicopter the day before, addressed guests at the ceremony.
“This has been a beautiful season. Our league has grown significantly, with incredible competitiveness and high viewership,” he said. “To have three teams fighting for the title, three more for Europe, and a relegation battle that went almost to the end—it’s a sign of real progress. We’re confident things will keep getting even better.”

Top Honours for Livaja and Rijeka
Hajduk Split striker Marko Livaja was named Player of the Season.
Livaja also picked up awards for Top Scorer, with 19 goals, and Goal of the Season for his stunning bicycle kick against Šibenik.
Accepting the award on his behalf, Hajduk teammate Filip Uremović said, “Marko is a special character and a top footballer. He and the whole club thank everyone for the recognition.”

Đalović Named Best Coach
Rijeka manager Radomir Đalović, who guided the club to their first league title since 2017, received the Coach of the Season award from Croatian national team coach Zlatko Dalić.
“This is my players’ award first and foremost,” Đalović said. “Thanks to Rijeka for the opportunity and to all my colleagues across the league. We truly earned this title, and we hope to finish the season on a high with the Croatian Cup as well.”

Another standout from Rijeka, midfielder Toni Fruk, was named Young Player of the Season.
“This is a great honour,” said Fruk. “I want to thank my teammates, coaches, and even my opponents, who pushed me to improve. This has been the best season of my career so far.”

Zlomislić Best Goalkeeper, Malenica’s Save Recognised
Rijeka’s Martin Zlomislić picked up the award for Goalkeeper of the Season, while Osijek’s Marko Malenica received recognition for the Best Save, made during a match at Poljud against Hajduk.
“I wasn’t even sure if the ball had crossed the line or if VAR would intervene,” Malenica recalled. “We didn’t win the match, but I’m happy the save has been acknowledged.”
