Croatian drone company Orqa selected by US Army as FPV drone supplier

26 August 2026 – Croatian technology company Orqa has been selected as a supplier of FPV drones for the United States Army, marking a significant step in the Osijek-based company’s expansion into the US defence market.
The company confirmed that the US Army’s 2nd Infantry Division had selected Orqa following an assessment of several suppliers.
“Orqa is delighted to announce that the U.S. Army’s 2nd Infantry Division has confirmed an agreement to procure our FPV drones after a focused evaluation of multiple suppliers,” the company announced on its LinkedIn page.
According to Orqa, the company was chosen based on the demonstrated performance of its systems in the field.
The agreement places technology developed by the Croatian company within one of the US Army’s permanently deployed formations and represents another step in Orqa’s international expansion.
However, details of the agreement have not been disclosed. The company has not revealed the number of drones involved, the value of the contract, the specific configuration selected, the delivery schedule or whether the procurement will be conducted directly or through a US partner.
The announcement comes as the US military continues to expand its use and evaluation of small FPV drone systems for tactical applications.

The 2nd Infantry Division has also been developing its drone capabilities on the Korean Peninsula, including recent training involving FPV systems.
Founded in Osijek in 2018 by Srdjan Kovačević, Ivan Jelušić and Vlatko Matijević, Orqa develops FPV and advanced remote-reality technology.
