Croatian Designer Waiting for Helen Mirren’s Call

Vuica (55) has just returned from London, where she attended the Evening Standard Theatre Awards with her close friend and ‘it’ theatre actress Zrinka Cvitešić. Cvitešić, who lives and works in London, has worn Vuica’s creations at many award ceremonies and invited the designer to attend this week’s awards.

Mirren, who was the star of the night, picking up yet another award, liked what she saw on Cvitešić and made began making enquiries.

“I bought Zrinka the dress over for the occasion. At one moment in the night Helen Mirren took a piece of paper with my number on it from our table and said she would contact me,” Vuica told Dnevnik.hr.
