14 March 2019 – Croatian dancer Maja Kereš (31) is realising her dreams, performing on stage side-by-side with music star Justin Timberlake.
Kereš is one of the dancers taking part in the American singer-songwriter’s The Man of the Woods Tour.
Launched in support of his fifth studio album, Man of the Woods (2018), the tour began one year ago on March 13, 2018 in Toronto and ends next month on April 13, 2019 in Uncasville.
“It is the 1 year anniversary of the opening of MOTW tour! 3/13 show #103 and 13 shows left until the end. I’m so honoured to be sharing the stage with these extraordinary people for a year now. Thank you Justin Timberlake for leading our pack so well. 365 days of greatness,” said Maja on Instagram.
Before the tour started last year, Kereš danced with Timberlake during the halftime show at Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Kereš also features in Timberlake’s music video for his single ‘Filthy’.
Kereš, who was born and raised in Rijeka on Croatia’s coast before moving to pursue a career in Los Angeles, has danced at the Grammy Awards with Busta Rhyme, and appeared in Fergie’s celeb-studded music video ‘MILF $’.
“When I obtained my artist visa for the USA in 2014, I first moved to NYC. That was (and still is) my favourite city in the world, I lived there for almost a year already as a student in Broadway Dance Center,” said Maja, who four years ago packed her bags and moved to LA.
The Man of the Woods Tour was the sixth-highest-grossing tour of 2018. As of March 2019, The Man of the Woods Tour has sold over 1.58 million tickets and has grossed a total of over $202.7 million.
