SveÄ‡enikova djeca (The Priestâ€™s children), a Croatian comedy film about a priest from a Dalmatian island who in order to increase the islands birth rate starts punching holes in condom packets, has become a hit at the Box Office in Brazil….
More than 30,000 viewers have watched the Vinko BreĹˇan directed film at cinemas across Brazil since the film went into distribution there. Besides Brazil, SveÄ‡enikova djeca has also been distributed in a number of other countries around the world. Earlier this month the film starting showing in cinemas across Italy, with Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, Germany, Poland and South Korea next on the list.
The film, written by Mate MatiĹˇiÄ‡, had the most successful opening in 22 years in Croatia when it first screened last year, and had over 158,000 viewers. It was also nominated for a European Film Academy award.
