Croatian Clubs Find Out UEFA Champions League & Europa League Qualifying Opponents

Dinamo Zagreb were dealt a favourable draw on Friday and will have to beat Albania’s Skenderbeu to qualify for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League for the 5th time. Dinamo, with a budget of around 20 million euros, will go in as favourites against the Albanians who have a budget of around just 1.5 million euros. The ties will be played on 18-19 August (away) and 25-26 August (at Maksimir stadium).

Meanwhile Hajduk Split, who beat Norway’s Stromsgodset 4-0 on aggregate in the 3rd qualifying round, will meet FC Slovan Liberec, who are one of the Czech Republic’s most successful clubs, to qualify for this season’s UEFA Europa League. Hajduk will travel first to the Czech Republic on 20 August, with the return leg at Poljud stadium on 27 August.
