Croatian Business of the Year 2017 Awards Held in Zagreb

The Croatian Chamber of Economy last night has held its annual ‘Zlatna kuna’ (Golden Marten) awards for the best businesses in Croatia for 2017.

Best Big Company 2017

Leading hotel company Maistra, which has hotels such as Monte Mulini, Lone and Family Marin in its portfolio, won the main award for the most successful big company in Croatia.

Headquartered in Rovinj, Maistra has 9 hotels and 8 resorts and has been a leading hotel company in Croatia for a long time.

Best Medium-Sized Company 2017

The ‘Zlatna kuna’ for the best medium-sized company went to Pet Minuta. Based in Zagreb Pet Minuta specialises in computer programming and computer production.

They have a team of 145 mobile product experts across two continents and have produced hundreds of award-winning apps.

Best Small Company 2017

The best small company and the ‘Zlatna kuna’ went to full-service advertising company Bruketa&Zinic&Grey from Zagreb.

Best Promotion of Entrepreneurship 2017

Rimac Automobili CEO Mate Rimac won an award for promotion of entrepreneurship also on the night.

In the innovation category, Zagreb company Altpro won the award, whilst tech company Axilis won best post startup and PBZ was awarded best bank. A lifetime achievement award went to Stjepan Safran.
