Croatian Boat Joins Search For Missing American F-16 Fighter Jet

A Croatian boat has joined the search for an American F-16 fighter jet pilot whose jet went down last night while flying over the Adriatic Sea.

“We got directions to go into action from the port captain in Italy. On board ‘Moon’ there are currently 14 sailors, and the search is still continuing,” said Mladen Brodaric from Brodospas.

The American pilot took off from a military base in north-eastern Italy, disappeared from radar screens in the skies over the Adriatic Sea. The pilot lost communication at around 8 p.m it was unclear whether or not the pilot managed to eject safely.
