Croatian Basketball International Does A “Cantona” And Knocks Out Fan

Croatia basketball representative Marko Tomas has emulated French football star Eric Cantona, when he ran into the crowd to deal to an unruly fan during a basketball match in the Croatian capital Zagreb on Thursday.

The Crowd were left in shock when Tomas, who was playing for KK Cedevita against Croatian champions KK Cibona in the final of the Kresimir Cosic Cup, made a dash into the crowd as the final buzzer went off to throw a series of punches at a fan. Witnesses say that during the match the fan engaged in some banter with the Croatian international, with the two exchanging a barrage of swear words.

Tomas faces disciplinary action for his Cantona-like performance. Cantona famously ran into the crowd whilst playing for Manchester United to unleash a karate kick on a spectator in an english premier league match.
