Croatian Bakery Giants Open First Shop in Germany

mlinarCroatia’s leading bakery chain Mlinar, which has over 170 shops in Croatia, has opened its first shop in Germany this week…

Mlinar has opened a store in the prestigious location of Marienplatz, the central square in the city centre of Munich.

“Opening a store in the heart of Bavaria is a giant step for us,” said Mlinar, before adding.

“The bakery at Marienplatz 16 is one of six Mlinar bakeries which we will open in 2015 in Bavaria. We are sure that the (Mlinar’s) proven concept will be accepted in this testing market.


Mlinar, which expanded into Slovenia and Hungary recently, say that they plan to open 150 bakeries in Germany in the next 5 years. Mlinar manage over 190 bakeries from their base in Zagreb.
