Croatian Artist Guest Of Honour At Portland Festival


One of Croatia’s leading illustrator, comics author and poster designer Igor Hofbauer was guest of honour at THE PROJECTS: experimental art + comics festival which has just finished in Portland, USA.

Hofbauer, who has had his works exhibited in France, Switzerland, Greece, Netherlands, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and USA, is renowned in Croatia for his work creating posters for Zagreb’s famous Mocvara club. His poster’s were also included in the book ‘The Art of Modern Rock : The Poster Explosion’ (2004), which included the finest work from more than 350 international studios and artists.

THE PROJECTS in Portland brought together experimental artists from comics, animation, and other narrative arts for a free three-day festival of workshops, exhibitions, panels, performances, projections, collaborative projects, and intensive creative mayhem. Hofbauer and other guest artists also had space to create their own mural (pic above) during the festival.
