Croatian airports record 10.3% growth in passengers

ZAGREB, 14 January 2019 – Croatian airports recorded 10.3% more passengers in the first eleven months of 2018 than in the same period the previous year, the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) reported.

From January to the end of November 2018, Croatian airports recorded 10.2 million passengers. November 2018 was a particularly busy month for Croatian airports with 16,000 more passengers recorded than the previous November. 

73% of those passengers were recorded at Zagreb Airport in the capital, with Split Airport in second place with 41.8% of those passengers. 

Rijeka Airport recorded the largest growth out of the nine Croatian airports with 88.3% more passengers in 2018 than the year prior.

Among the foreign travellers in November 2018, the most arrived from Germany (96,000), France (17,000), Austria (16,000), Turkey (15,000) and the UK (14.8%).
