The Hrvatska kovnica novca has announced the release of its new official 2026 Croatian euro coin set in Brilliant Uncirculated (mint shine) quality, continuing a popular collector series dedicated to Croatian cities.

Mints and central banks across the euro area regularly issue official annual euro sets, which have become highly sought-after among collectors and numismatics enthusiasts worldwide.

Following previous editions honouring Croatian cities, this year’s release presents a new chapter in the country’s cultural and historical story.

Dedicated to the Historic City of Vukovar

The 2026 official set is dedicated to Vukovar, a city whose name first appeared in written records at the beginning of the 13th century.

Owing to its strategic position on the River Danube, Vukovar developed over centuries into an important transport and trading centre.

The city’s layered history remains visible today in its historic core, the Baroque Eltz Manor and the nearby Vučedol archaeological site, one of Europe’s most significant prehistoric locations.

By choosing Vukovar as the theme, the 2026 edition pays tribute to a city that holds a special place in Croatia’s cultural heritage and historical identity.

Limited Edition for Collectors

The Vukovar 2026 set includes the complete circulation series of Croatian euro coins and euro cents for 2026 in Brilliant Uncirculated quality.

The release will be strictly limited to 5,000 sets, further enhancing its appeal among collectors both in Croatia and internationally.
