Croatia v England: Dalic Makes One Change to Starting XI

Change to Croatia’s starting XI from quarterfinal win (HNS)

Zlatko Dalic has made one change to Croatia’s starting line-up for their historic World Cup semi-final against England.

Good news for Croatian fans as right-back Sime Vrsaljko, who was forced off with a knee injury during Croatia’s quarter-final win over Denmark, is fit and will take his place in the starting line-up.

Ante Rebic did not train on Tuesday after complaining of a neck injury but he too has also been declared fit and will start wide on the right.

The only change from the starting line-up which beat Russia on Saturday is Marcelo Brozovic who comes into the side for Andrej Kramaric. The Inter Milan star will provide more cover defensively in the midfield.

Danijel Subasic has also been declared fit after a scare with his hamstring on Saturday and will start in goal. Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic will once again operate in the middle of the pitch with Mario Mandzukic again playing the lone striker role.
