Croatia U-19 Thrash UEFA New Boys Gibraltar 7-0 on Debut

CroatiaCroatia has opened their account at the qualifying tournament for the 2014 European Championship which will be held in the Czech Republic with a 7-0 thrashing of Gibraltar.

Gibraltar, who were playing their first competitive UEFA match, started well before Croatia capitalised on Gibraltar having a man sent off. In the 70th minute things got worse for the Iberian Peninsulians when they went down to 9 men through injury. Roma defender Tin Jedvaj gave the Croats a 1-0 halftime lead, before the flood gates opened in the second spell, which saw Dinamo Zagreb’s Marko Kolar hit home a second half hat trick. Croatia now face Cyprus in their next match on Saturday.
