Croatia to play Slovenia at Poljud stadium in Split

ZAGREB, 6 May 2021 – The Croatian Football Federation today has confirmed that Croatia will play Slovenia at Poljud stadium in Split. 

Croatia will meet Slovenia in their 2022 World Cup qualifier at Split’s Poljud stadium on 7 September with kick-off at 8:45 pm, it was decided by the federation’s executive board.

The match will be the final match of three which Zlatko Dalić’s team will play in September. 

First up, on 1 September, Croatia will play Russia, followed by a match against Slovakia on 4 September. Croatia 

Croatia is currently at the top of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification – UEFA Group H after three matches. After losing 1-0 away to Slovenia, Croatia beat Cyprus and Malta and have 6 points. 

Croatia last played at Poljud stadium in November 2020 when they lost 3:2 to Portugal in the UEFA Nations League.
