Croatia To Play For Bronze At World Handball Champs

Croatia’s dream run at the World Handball Championships in Spain came to an abrupt halt on Friday night in Barcelona at the hands of Denmark. The Danes were too good for Croatia winning 30-24 to advance through to Sunday’s final against Spain.

The loss means Croatia will face Slovenia on Saturday in the 3rd and 4th playoff match.

“We have to leave our hearts on the court against Slovenia, unlike today against Denmark,” said a disappointed coach Slavko Goluza after Friday’s loss.
