Croatia To Host Major Poker Tournament For The First Time

Croatia is set to play host to a major international poker tournament for the first time when professional poker players from around the world descend on Croatia. The MegaPokerSeries will take place in the northern Adriatic town of Opatija from 17-21 October.

500 participants from all over the world, including professionals Julian Herold and Stefan Matsson, will battle it out for the 500,000 euro prize money. Entry fee to the event is 770 euros.

Croatia will be represented at the tournament by its best poker players, Dragan Galic and Hana Soljan. The event will take place at Hotel Adriatic, which organisers say will also be a good advertisement for Croatia around the world.
