18 February 2019 – Croatia will face Georgia at home in an international friendly later this year, the Croatian football federation announced on Monday.

Croatia will host Georgia on 19 November 2019. The match comes three days after Zlatko Dalić’s side plays its final EURO 2020 qualifier against Hungary on 16 November 2019.

Croatia and Georgia have met twice before in internationals with both matches played during the EURO 2012 qualifying campaign. Georgia would win the first encounter at home 1-0, which Croatia took the three points in Split 2-1 with goals on that occasion to Mario Mandžukić and Nikola Kalinić.

Georgia are currently ranked 91st on the FIFA rankings with Croatia 4th. The venue for the match will be confirmed later.

According to UEFA rules, all free windows must be used for friendly internationals and in the June match day window Croatia will face Tunisia in an international friendly in Varaždin on 11 June, three days after the EURO 2020 qualifier against Wales in Osijek.

Croatia opens their EURO 2020 qualifying campaign in Zagreb on 21 March against Azerbaijan and closes it away to Hungary in November.
