1 February 2019 – Croatia will meet Tunisia in an international friendly in June this year, the Tunisian Football Federation reported on Friday.

According to the Tunisian Football Federation, the match will be played on 11 June 2019 in Croatia, three days after Zlatko Dalić’s side take on Wales in a Euro 2020 qualifier.

Tunisia will use the match as preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations which will take place from 21 June – 19 July in Egypt. Croatia faces Wales on 8 June at home in Euro 2020 qualifying.

Tunisia is ranked 26th in the world with their biggest star being Saint-Étienne striker Wahbi Khazri. At the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Tunisia was knocked out after the group stages after they beat Panama but lost to England and Belgium.

Croatia and Tunisia have never met in an international.

The news was announced on the Tunisian Football Federation website on Friday but nothing yet has been announced by the Croatian Football Federation.
