Croatian tourism continues its strong performance in 2025, with new figures showing solid growth in foreign visitor spending during the first quarter of the year.

According to data released by the Croatian National Bank (HNB), revenue from foreign tourists in the first quarter of 2025 totalled 865.5 million euros, the Croatian Tourist Board said in statement.

This marks an increase of 6.65 percent compared to the same period last year, with an additional 54 million euros earned.

Commenting on the results, Minister of Tourism and Sport Tonči Glavina emphasised that Croatia continues to see its strongest financial growth in the pre-season months.

“Since 2019, we have seen almost an 80 percent increase in revenue from foreign tourists in the first quarter. This reflects the growing importance of the pre-season and the resilience of Croatian tourism in changing global conditions,” Minister Glavina said.

He also noted that tourism traffic in the first half of the year has been encouraging, with results so far showing a 4 percent improvement compared to the same period in 2024.

These latest figures highlight continued positive trends for Croatian tourism and the country’s ongoing appeal as a year-round destination.
