Croatia Ranked World’s Number 1 Destination on the Rise

Primosten_CroatiaOne of the world’s leading travel information providers Fodor’s have named Croatia as the number 1 World Destination on the Rise in its 2nd annual list of the most popular and up-and-coming destinations…

Croatia, with a rise of a massive 2.496%, was ranked in number one spot, ahead of Portugal in second spot and Turkey which was third. Croatia’s rise in popularity means Fodor’s, which has produced travel guides for more than 75 years, will release its first standalone guide for Croatia – Fodor’s Croatia – in March this year. Fodor’s have obtained their data for this year’s list from around visitors’ most common queries on the heavily trafficked Fodors.com website, which set a record in 2014, attracting over 20 million page views in a single month.

“Our editorial team is constantly monitoring destination trends, to ensure that the content we publish stays relevant as travelers’ tastes change. Analyzing visitors’ searches allows us to see where travelers intend to visit, giving us insight into what destinations are hot right now,” Arabella Bowen, Editor in Chief of Fodor’s Travel, said.
