Lorencin talks with Moza bint Nasser Ahmad bin Ali Al-Thani

Minister Lorencin acknowledged that relations between the two countries is progressing rapidly, especially after last week’s visit by a Qatari delegation looking at investment possibilities on the island of Krk in the form of a LNG terminal. Lorencin stressed that he would like to establish cooperation in the field of tourism and presented results that have been on the rise for a number of years.

Minister Lorencin pointed out that 2013 was a very important year for Croatian tourism, because it was a year that the Croatian Parliament adopted a development strategy of Croatian tourism for a long period (2013 to 2020). The minister said he is working intensively on the implementation of the Strategy and the preparation of the Strategic Marketing Plan, which for the first time define a strategic market for Croatia. Lorencin also presented current tourism investment projects to the Qatari Ambassador.
