Croatia has added another Michelin-starred restaurant to its growing fine dining scene after Harry’s Piccolo in Poreč was awarded its first Michelin star.
The recognition was announced yesterday by the Michelin Guide, with the Istrian restaurant joining the list of Croatian establishments honoured by the famous dining guide following anonymous inspections carried out by Michelin’s professional inspectors.
Harry’s Piccolo is located within Valamar’s recently opened Pical Resort 5* in Poreč and offers a contemporary fine dining experience inspired by the flavours and traditions of the northern Adriatic.
The restaurant was opened in collaboration with renowned chefs Matteo Metullio and Davide De Pra, whose Harry’s Piccolo in Trieste holds two Michelin stars, while the kitchen in Poreč is run by chef Goran Hrastovčak.

At the restaurant, the tasting menus draw inspiration from the historic Parenzana railway, creating a culinary journey through Croatia, Italy and Slovenia.
The concept combines modern Mediterranean cuisine with Istrian and Italian influences, showcasing seasonal local produce through contemporary cooking techniques.

Alongside its tasting menus, Harry’s Piccolo offers carefully selected wine pairings featuring both Croatian and international labels, as well as an extensive collection of premium wines, champagnes, signature cocktails and spirits.
Located within the new Pical Resort, the restaurant is open for dinner from 7 pm until midnight, with an elegant dress code. It specialises in fine dining, offering both à la carte dishes and tasting menus.
