Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year Winner Đuro Horvat

The Director of Zagreb-based waste recycling equipment manufacturer Tehnix, Đuro Horvat, has won the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year award…

Horvat, who is the founder and owner of the Tehnix, collected the award at a ceremony in Zagreb held on 17 March 2016. Tehnix, headquartered in the northern Croatian town of Donji Kraljevec, employs 325 people and has 50 patents for waste management equipment design and manufacturing. It sells over 350 of its own products. Horvat will now head to Monte Carlo to take part i the World Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year awards.

The technological innovations award went to Kristijan Milakovic from food equipment manufacturers Nicro, whilst Habiba Legac from Feroimpex won the international achievements award.


The awards, the most prestigious world award for entrepreneurs granted in more than 60 countries, was held for just the second time in Croatia last night.
