It will be the fourth time the two countries have met with Croatia currently leading 3-0, beating the USA in 2003 in Zagreb, 2005 in Carson and in 2009 in Poreč.

Croatia are one-time previous Davis Cup winners, whilst the USA are the most successful nation to take part winning 32 times.
