Croatia May Have Found The Next Janica Kostelic

When four-time Olympic gold medalist Janica Kostelic retired from skiing in 2006, Croatia thought they would have to wait a long time to find someone to fill her void. 16-year-old Croatian Sasa Trsinski may just be that person.

Kostelic herself has said that Trsinski may even out-do her own feats in skiing, and now the young hopeful has won yet another title, this time the junior FIS slalom in Austria yesterday with a time of 1.59.80, 71 hundreth of a second faster than her closest rival Ester Ledecke from Czech Republic.

Time will tell if girl from Zabok in north-west Croatia can emulate Kostelic, but experts say that she is definitely on the right path.
