Croatia in 2nd Pot for Euro 2016 Draw

Although all the finalists have yet to be determined, with play-off qualifiers still to be played tonight, UEFA has on Tuesday announced the draw pots ahead of the Euro 2016 draw on 12 December…

Croatia have been pooled in the second strongest group, meaning they will avoid Russia, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Ukraine or Czech Republic at Euro 2016 in France next summer.

The draw pots mean Croatia will face one of France, Spain, England, Germany, Portugal and Belgium in tournament. No matter who out of that lot Croatia draw it will be tough. One team from each pot will be drawn to form each group.

Euro 2016 – Draw Pots (if Ukraine go through)
1) France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, England, Belgium
2) Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, CROATIA, Ukraine
3) Czech Republic, Sweden, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary
4) Turkey, Ireland, Iceland, Wales, Albania, Northern Ireland

If Slovenia qualify
1) France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, England, Belgium
2) Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, CROATIA, Czech Republic
3) Turkey, Sweden, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary
4) Slovenia, Ireland, Iceland, Wales, Albania, Northern Ireland
