Croatia house prices rise 14.3% year-on-year in first quarter of 2026

House prices across Croatia continued their upward trend in the first quarter of 2026, rising by 14.3% compared with the same period last year, according to the latest figures released by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
Measured by the House Price Index, residential property prices increased by an average of 3.3% in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the final quarter of 2025.
New residential properties recorded a quarterly increase of 2.1%, while prices were 9.7% higher than in the first quarter of 2025.
Existing residential properties saw stronger growth, with prices rising by 3.7% compared with the previous quarter and by 16.1% year-on-year.
Regional data showed that Zagreb recorded the strongest quarterly increase. House prices in the capital rose by 4.8% compared with the fourth quarter of 2025.
Along the Adriatic coast, prices increased by 2.3% over the same period, while the rest of Croatia recorded a quarterly rise of 2.2%.
On an annual basis, house prices were up by 14.7% in Zagreb, 12.6% in the Adriatic region and 18.1% in the rest of Croatia.
