Croatia Gets 100 Million Euro Contract To Build Stadium In Qatar

The Croatian delegation who have just returned from Qatar, where apart from opening the first Croatian Embassy in Doha, met with potential investors, have secured a project worth 100 million euros for Croatian companies to build an indoor sports stadium that will host the World Handball Championships in Qatar in 2015.

Portal index.hr reports that the deal was done with Qatar’s Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber bin Muhammad Al Thani, who was impressed with the Croatian delegations presentation of the work Croatian companies done when building the Arena centre for the 2009 World Handball Championships in Croatia.

Building work by Croatian companies reportedly could start as soon as early in the new year, with the project estimated to be in excess of 100 million euros to Croatian companies.
